Digital signage is a sub-segment of electronic signage. Digital displays use technologies such as LEDs or Light-emitting diode screens, projection and e-paper to display digital images, videos, web pages and the like. Ideally, your sign should draw the attention of attendees to your offer at the exhibition. However, be careful there are a number of technical issues to consider.
Most exhibition visual display screens will not play landscape videos which is the preferred format for YouTube and corporate videos. This means that the video actually often takes up less than half the surface area of the size of a freestanding unit’s display and some suppliers hope that you will be too stressed out to care by the start of the exhibition.
The problem with this is that the visual impact is reduced to almost nothing, as we are all now used to watching a 50 inch television screen and you are likely to receive a poor return on your investment at the exhibition.
